Varios docentes de la Universidad de Navarra participan en un congreso de la Federación Europea de Nutrición
Several professors of the University of Navarra participate in a congress of the European Federation of Nutrition.
Prof. Maira Bes-Rastrollo received a award for a work made at framework of project SUN
The University of Navarra, through the Departments of Preventive Medicine and Public Health and that of Food Sciences, Physiology and Toxicology, was one of the centers with the largest issue of participants in the last congress of the European Federation of Nutrition (FENS).
Alfredo Martínez, professor at School of Pharmacy, was the president of the Scientific committee of congress, five papers were presented (Prof. Miguel Ángel Martínez-González, Dr. María Jesús Moreno-Aliaga, Dr. Amelia Martí, Dr. Javier Campión and Dr. Santiago Navas-Carretero), three oral communications and 31 communications in the form of poster.
In addition, the professor and researcher of department of Preventive Medicine, Maira Bes-Rastrollo, received the award "1st Award for the best poster" for the work made in the framework of the project SUN:"Consumption of fried food and weight gain in a Mediterranean cohort: the SUN Project" awarded by the publishing house Medica Panamericana and the scientific committee of the FENS.
