For Ana Posse (4th year of Pharmacy + International Pharmaceutical Certificate), this course in East Anglia University -campus in the top 1% of the most prestigious centers in the world according to Times Higher Education- is proving to be very enriching, both because of the different approach of the profession - in which the direct relationship between the patient and the pharmacist stands out - and because of the style of the teaching, where the topics are not structured by areas but are studied in all their aspects at position by different professors. In his opinion, studying abroad for a year is highly recommendedfinancial aid to open your mind, to familiarize yourself with other cultures and to internalize different ways of practicing the profession".

- How and why did you decide for this experience in East Anglia?
Since I started degree program I knew I wanted to go to exchange. I looked at different options and chose East Anglia. This university had many points in its favor: from the fact that campus was section from the city - with lots of green areas - to the climate. As Norwich is located on the east side of England, it is the warmest and sunniest part of the country. All the reviews I found were very positive. Of course, I also decided that the PharmacySchool is very good and that it has a very high percentage of international students.

- So far, how is the course going? What would you say are the big differences between teaching in Spain and in England?
To begin with, here there are much fewer hours of class and more independent study time for fill in the training that you receive at class. Classes are also not divided by area (Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, Chemistry Organic...), but are organized into larger subjects, so that each hour of class is taught by professors from different areas. For example, one of my subjects is the gastrointestinal system and cancer. In it, over the course of a week different professors teach Anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology of an organ and the different drugs and their design to treat various diseases.

In my opinion, studying the topics in this way financial aid much more to unite the different areas and to possess a more global vision. On the other hand, studying in this way is also more complicated because in a class knowledge of all areas is taught. In addition, in England they put the focus on the pharmacist-patient relationship. The classes are based on how to act to help the patient and, if necessary, refer the patient to a doctor. This professional approach works from the first year of degree program, something that does not exist in Spain.

- How long will your stay in the UK last and what are your plans for the next academic year?
I will be in the UK for the whole year. Next year I will return to Pamplona to finish Pharmacy.

- Why would you recommend such an experience to another student Pharmacist?
Because financial aid opens your mind a lot. It teaches you to learn in a different way, financial aid to get to know other cultures and to unravel how health systems work. Nowadays you have to have a global knowledge to access any sector in which you want to work. When you become familiar with other cultures and internalize the different ways of practicing the profession, you can only get better.

- How do you value the teaching received so far at the University of Navarra when it comes to continuing your education in another country and in another language?
The academic demands of the University have helped me a lot because East Anglia also has a high level of demand Degree . In addition, the academic instructions that I have received -both in the way of studying and in the knowledge of different areas-, have undoubtedly helped me to access programs of study outside Spain.

On the other hand, the teaching in University values is a point of difference that I have not yet noticed in East Anglia. In fact, I had come from working on class the ethical problems that can arise from Genetics or Chemistry pharmaceuticals, among others. However, my colleagues at class in the UK are surprised when I mention them, as they have not studied them. In my opinion, this aspect is paramount when it comes to delving deeper into the profession and assessing how our work affects others.
