The University of Navarra offers online training for experts in geriatric nutrition.

The School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra has launched its training online courses for experts in geriatric nutrition. These are three programs aimed at healthcare professionals who are awarded the certificate in Nutrition of the Elderly.
According to Diana Ansorena, director of department of Food Science and Physiology, to which the professors involved in the course belong, "the goal is to address the physiological and functional changes associated with aging by providing advice and dietary strategies for promote and promoting a healthy, balanced and individualized diet".
This academic center's own degree scroll consists of three courses that can also be taken independently. Thus, the"Course evaluation comprehensive geriatric" teaches how to assess the nutritional status of these patients; the"Course Dietary counseling in the elderly", provides information and tools to advise them on healthy eating subject ; and the"Course Dietary guidelines in common geriatric pathologies" is focused on showing the nutritional and dietary strategies necessary to customize the food committee in clinical and pathophysiological situations in which food is considered an important part of the treatment of a geriatric patient.
