Lucy Ash and Omari Eccleston, from BBC Radio 4, have been this morning at the School of Communication of the University of Navarra meeting with the nineteen students of 4th year of Journalism who made the SolucionES supplement, which was presented two weeks ago.

fcom students have talked with BBC journalists, who sought to reflect on the impact that the crisis has had on Spanish society and how SolucionES could help to improve the status. These interviews will be part of a BBC Radio 4 program on the crisis in Europe. It will be broadcast in the first weeks of January 2011 and will feature countries such as Germany, Italy, Ireland and Spain.

In the Communication building, the journalists interviewed Ane Rotaeche, one of the students who contributed to the supplement, about the University of Navarra and its students. Later, they met with Paco Sancho, one of the professors of School of Communication who coordinated the development of SolucionES, and with José Miguel Sánchez, student of fcom and director of the supplement.

After the interviews, the journalists, accompanied by the students, went to the center of Pamplona to hand out supplements and see the reactions of the citizens. There they have been able to interview students, unemployed, retired people and businessmen who have talked about the crisis, possible solutions and their opinion about the work developed by the students.

A few minutes before boarding the train that would take them back to Madrid, they have agreed with several students to conduct some interviews on their own and later send them to programs of study of the BBC.
