Lluis Pascual is student second year of Master's Degree in development Galenic and Manufacturing in the Pharmaceutical Industry, and is currently doing his paid internship at Cyndea Pharma. "I confess that the beginning was not easy: just out of the School, landing in a real pharmaceutical business and with a hectic pace is not always a bed of roses".

"It may seem that doing an internship at such a small and young business is a waste of Master's Degree. Nothing could be further from the truth," says Pascual. For him, it is precisely the "frenetic" pace that transforms this experience into a treasure in order to arrive at professional life "as well trained as possible". "I started at department conditioning and, despite being at the end of the manufacturing chain, you learn immediately that it is a vital step in the distribution of medicines. In addition, as team member serialization, they have counted on me from the very beginning for everything, even for meetings with customers," he says.

For Lluis Pascual, being in a development and contract manufacturing organization (CDMO) allows him to see many facets of the industry, both from the customer's point of view and that of the provider. In addition, he comments that the fact that the business has a portfolio of more than 90 products in countries around the world makes it very difficult to set a standard, necessitating more learning. "I have found that work immediately moves away from reading work standard procedures (SOPs) to settling on solving all subject of problems, looking at implementing improvements and even, update the same SOPs you were browsing less than a month ago."

However, she assures that both the theoretical basis and the internship developed at Master's Degree have made it possible for her to successfully face this professional experience: "After all, an emblistadora is still an emblistadora... Even if it's an adaptation of a yogurt capping machine! Even if it is an adaptation of a yogurt lidding machine!" she jokes.
