The University of Navarra hosts the II International congress Roma Aeterna

More than thirty young researchers in classical antiquity from national and international institutions attended the meeting.

The School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra has held the II Roma Aeterna congress of Young Researchers in Antiquity.

The role of women in the ancient world; urban life in the classical period; funerary practices and early Christianity; the historiography of Antiquity; epigraphy and art throughout history; Hispano-Roman material culture; and the use of urban spaces in the Roman world are some of the topics that have been addressed.

The meeting was attended by 33 experts in the classical world from 18 national and international institutions, including the Université Bordeaux Montaigne, the Sapienza Università di Roma, the Universidade Federal de São Paulo, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universidad de Sevilla.

The participants concluded the conference with a meeting at the Roman site of Santa Criz de Eslava and the exhibition that the City Council of Eslava has installed in the town, "Santa Criz de Eslava, reflections of Rome in Basque territory".
