Azucena Aldaz Pastor, professor of the department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, has received the award of Recognition of Merits of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy (SEFH). This award was presented to her during the annual congress of this society, held in Madrid, in the presence of 1,500 professionals.

Dr. Aldaz -who is also consultant of the Pharmacy Service of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra- has been recognized for her career in the field of Clinical Pharmacokinetics and its application in the therapeutic improvement of patients. Eva Negro, president of the committee organizer of the congress and board member of Madrid in the board of government of the Society, was the one who gave her the award and highlighted, on this occasion, the commitment of the professor with the patients and with society: "Thanks to her work rigorous, constructive critical spirit, generosity, enthusiasm, honesty and active professional participation, all of them qualities which she has shown during the 8 years in which she has been a member of the board of Government of SEFH", emphasized Eva Negro.

This award is submission annually to the person distinguished for his or her work voluntary work in the field of Hospital Pharmacy and whose efforts have benefited the SEFH, which is the representative entity of pharmacists.
