The Forum of the University of Navarra (FORUN) is, as described on its website, "an annualcongress by students for students. A space for reflection and dialogue on university values, as well as on issues affecting our world". Each year a topic is proposed, which in the 2016 edition is"The footprint of the family". Four students from the 1st year of ISSA School of Management Assistants of the University of Navarra, together with another colleague from School Communication and led by the professor of language Ana María Fernández, presented a video graduate "There is always something to be grateful for" in which they develop the role of the family in different people through interviews.

"The realization of this project has been a real challenge for us because we had never participated in a project of such magnitude. Signing up for FORUN was a bit of an experiment..., it is our first year at ISSA and we wanted to take advantage of all the opportunities that the University offered us. Thanks to Ana María Fernández this project has gone ahead with her support, knowledge and also with contributions from a point of view different from ours", say the students.

"We were able to learn and reflect from the stories the interviewees told us. We have laughed with many of them, but we have also been able to cry. Thanks to them we have discovered the importance of family for everyone, and that behind each person there is a family that supports them at all times. We have also learned to be sensitive to each and every one of the interviewees depending on the story and status they told us", they add.

"From the point of view of competencies, I would especially highlight the coexistence and coordination among all of us because we have been able to get to know each other better and we have developed a lot of trust among us. We have also improved our ability to work as a team, to listen to each other's ideas, to adapt to each other's schedules, to divide and complement each other so that the work could be successful," the students explain.

ISSA professor, Ana Maria Fernandez, who directed the project , emphasizes that "for any professor, to be able to share a few hours with their students outside the classroom is a marvel: the teacher-student relationship is enriched and goes far beyond the strictly academic. Forun makes it possible to have a great time, to see their more human, more intimate side: it strengthens the bond so much that trust and friendship spontaneously sprout".

"We have eaten while working, we have sent each other whatapps, we have laughed, we have also cried, we have had our moments of crisis, but in the end they have been able to present a work, a good work. I congratulate them and thank them for having trusted me to accompany them in this their first university congress , and I'm sure there will be many more," he adds.

University of Navarra Forum

The Forum of the University of Navarra (FORUN) is based on the conviction that the university years are a time not only of intellectual learning, but also of commitment staff in the improvement of society. FORUN fosters the relationship between professors and students from different careers to reflect on values related to the person and culture.

It is also an opportunity to enhance the interdisciplinarytraining and to seek positive and creative responses to the issues facing our society.

The presentation of the presentations will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2016. The students will project the work made and will make a brief oral presentation (3 minutes) which will then be delivered to committee Organizer.
