The Alumni Scholarships programme receives 150,000 euros from the Bolar Foundation in Guatemala.

The initiative, designed to finance grants for students with good transcript and without resources, benefits 267 young people this academic year.

The Bolar Foundation of Guatemala has signed a agreement 150,000 to the University of Navarra to contribute 150,000 euros to the Alumni Scholarships Program, which will be incorporated into a fund so that, with the interest generated, the costs of a scholarship recipient can be defrayed.

The beneficiary, a student who accredits an excellent academic transcript but lacks sufficient financial resources, may study any Degree at the University of Navarra. This scholarship will cover his or her financial need at enrollment and accommodation at high school for at least the first two years of programs of study.

The agreement was signed by Igor Errasti, Administrator of the University, and Javier Frutos, director of Fundación Universidad de Navarra (FUNA). The event was also attended by Ana Höhr, deputy director of Alumni; Natalia Couto, director of the Office of Alumni Scholarships; Chris Valenzuela, from the Office of development Alumni; and some Alumni scholarship recipients.

budget The Alumni Scholarships Program has a budget of 2,000,896 euros for the 2012-13 academic year, benefiting 267 young people, 60 of whom come from 17 different countries in Spain.
