teachinganother professional outlet for the Chemistry
Orreaga Villanueva, a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Navarra, has obtained place in the last call for secondary school teachers.
Orreaga Villanueva, a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Navarra, obtained place as a teacher in the last call for applications made by the Government of Navarra, where she came in second place.
As the former student of the School of Sciences recalls, "for the teaching vacancies in Basque there were 59 people who competed for 20 positions. I had come second, but because I had little experience I was placed 6th".
Before that, Orreaga did an internship at a pharmaceutical analysis laboratory : "I was doing well, and it confirmed that teaching really appealed to me. I had already given private classes during the degree program, so I decided to apply for the competitive examinations".
For now he has taken the teaching Mathematics courses - "closely linked to Chemistry as well", he explains-, but he does not rule out the possibility of opting for the Chemistry courses in the future.
For her, the hardness of the oppositions, and the extra effort that must be made, are worth it, and are a plus of motivation. Now, to get her students excited about Basic Sciences Orreaga proposes to show that everything around us is Chemistry, and that mathematics is not just an abstract entity.
