On October 24, the University of Navarra will host the 1st National University Bioethics congress , organized by and for students. The meeting, promoted by the association Spanish Bioethics Association (AEBI), will include the participation of experts from the academic, healthcare and pharmaceutical fields, who will address topics such as eugenics, palliative care, research of diseases and homeopathy.

The program also includes discussion and programs of study case studies and a competition for papers on bioethics applied to all fields of knowledge. The winning discussion paper will be announced during the IX National Bioethics congress to be held on the 25th and 26th.

Miriam Pereira, 4th year Nursing student and coordinator of the activity, highlights the importance of having an event of this category. In her opinion,"this congress offers students the opportunity to learn more about this topic that interests young people so much, with the help of prestigious experts who will undoubtedly resolve many questions about it. "At the same time, Pereira points out, it becomes a platform where to debate on how bioethics and its implications are present in our daily work ."

Registrations can be made by e-mail at mpereira.1@alumni.unav.es or through the website.
