2013_09_19_solidarity on Sports Day

Sports Day is a workshop dedicated to sports activities, but also to solidarity.

At 10:00h, the volunteers of UAS-TANTAKA, will launch the Solidarity Tombola at entrance of sports center. There will be prizes for children, youth and adults for only € 2 per ticket: toys, sportswear, USBs, tickets to see Osasuna... And much more! All proceeds will go entirely to cooperation projects to development of Colleges of the university campus .

Another solidarity initiative is the Giant Volleyball TANTAKA, at 17:00h on the soccer field. For each volunteer, the Sports Service will donate € 1 to the restoration of housing in Navarra on the poverty line. It is a project that our volunteers of the School of Architecture carry out with Caritas and Red Cross. Those who participate in this activity can also win prizes.

Students organize a solidarity cross to fight against cancer

In addition, students from the Schools of Sciences have organized a solidarity cross, with the slogan "Together against cancer". promote The activity is promoted by the committee organizer of the congress International Oncology for Students (COE) in order to raise social awareness of this disease and, at the same time, to present the tenth edition of this event that will be held at the end of February in Pamplona.

The initiative consists of a 5 kmdegree program through the university campus , starting at 11:00h from sports center. The inauguration will be attended by the Dean of the School of Medicine, Jorge Iriarte, and the professor manager of congress, Salvador Martín Algarra.

The organizers encourage students, faculty, university employees and the general public to take part in this activity and join in the fight against cancer.
