The new social demands and the convergence with Europe are two points of reflection for nursing schools and nursing professionals.

On the occasion of the feast of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, professors from the Schools of the Universities of Navarra, Cordoba, Madrid and Valencia met at campus Pamplona to review the evolution of these centers and future prospects. Navidad Canga, Carmen Blasco, Pilar Arroyo and Amparo Benavent reviewed the vicissitudes of the profession to integrate into the University, improve the plans of programs of study, the update of the training of students and the struggle to achieve higher levels of qualification both professor and professional.

They also talked about establishing lines of research that increase the scientific knowledge own and lead to excellence in care, take advantage of the multidisciplinarity without losing identity, new specialties.... The challenges are many and, according to the speakers, convergence with Europe can be a new incentive, since in many European countries nursing already has the status that they are demanding. As one of the speakers said, "the future depends on us".
