Increasing the autonomy and employment rate of people with disabilities through the improvement of their professional skills and, therefore, their employability is the goal of Tantaka Inclusion, a project that emerged in 2014. As part of this initiative, the "Disability and socio-labor inclusion" program was launched, at partnership with Cocemfe Navarra, to facilitate professional internships for people with disabilities in different centers and services of the University of Navarra. Since then, 125 people have done internships and 27 have had a job offer.

The participants of this edition have concluded their experience in the Cleaning Service, the department of Microbiology and the department of Nutrition and Pharmacology. Yolanda Verdes, one of the participants, has pointed out that during these last months "I have had the opportunity to work in the cleaning team of the Library Services. What I liked the most was the good attention and the kindness I have received, both from my colleagues and the other people I have met".

An opinion shared by Tetiana Mykhailenko, another Cocemfe user who has done an internship at the University this year: "During this time I have enjoyed everything and everyone. I especially enjoyed meeting new people and learning from my colleagues. In addition, it has given me the opportunity to be for the first time in a laboratory".

As Cristina Mondragón, president of Cocemfe Navarra, points out, "it is difficult for people with disabilities to find work and living this experience in a university with this prestige is more than a line underlined in their curriculum; it is a great boost to continue making a place for themselves in the working world".

During these 10 years, various institutions and social entities have collaborated with Tantaka Inclusion to facilitate the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor market, such as COCEMFE, Jesuitinas and association Síndrome de Down. Natalia Couto, coordinator of Tantaka, took stock of these 10 years of partnership: "During this decade we have worked with two purposes: that people with disabilities can study and work with equal opportunities, and to change the way we look at disability. Diversity must be a value in our society and this requires a joint effort".
