Francisco Gay: "Nurses develop competencies in management and relationship with people".
The expert analyzed the competences of a nursing professional for the good practice of his work, in the Master's Degree of internship Advanced and management of Nursing.

The expert in Personnel Management Service Francisco Gay Puyal analyzed at the University of Navarra the competencies that a nursing professional should have for the proper exercise of his work. Among them, he pointed out those that have to do with relationships and Personnel Management Service "due to the strong motivational component of specialization program".
In this sense, he emphasized that the Master's Degree of internship Advanced and management of Nursing "will mark a before and after, since it trains students to lead nursing teams taking into account the people they lead - it is possible to lead without taking them into account - thanks to the training in management, leadership and motivation", he stressed.
Gay Puyal is a professor of Personnel Management Service at IESE and, as of this academic year, also teaches at the University of Navarra's postgraduate program .
Likewise, as he stated,"the nursing professional must manage material resources, not only human resources, and for this he also needs knowledge of the field of business management ".
On the more human side, the expert considers that patient satisfaction probably depends more on how things are done than on what subject things are done, "that is why," he added, "nurses are vital to the patient's well-being.
Francisco Gay Puyal is a professor of area of Personnel Management Service in the Organization and partner scientific of the ICWF (International Center Work&Family) of IESE. In addition, he is consultant of organizations in design and functioning of management bodies, Personnel Management Service, conciliation and organizational coaching.
