Alejandra Pérez, graduated in Pharmacy from the University of the Basque Country in 2014, is a student of the Master's Degree in design Galenic and Manufacturing in the Pharmaceutical Industry (MDGFI 17-19). She is currently doing her paid internship at business Teva Pharma.

"I started at department in Manufacturing Science and Technology. There, I was able to collaborate in different process and cleaning validation projects, as well as analytical method validations, method transfers and stabilities, among other functions," he explains.

Teva Pharma is a global company specialized in generic and innovative medicines. Specifically, the production plant in Zaragoza, which Alejandra has joined, is one of the most productive in the world. It specializes in solid oral medicines, with emphasis on pellet, capsule and tablet technologies, and works with up to 29 different molecules. The Zaragoza plant has more than 400 employees and produces drugs that are subsequently marketed in many countries. 

"The environment is very good, which makes learning and workvery enjoyable," continues Alejandra, who after a few months moved to the Quality Assurance department , where she is able to put on internship other concepts related to quality learned at Master's Degree. "In both department and the other I have received training in GMP, safety and also in statistics, as well as training more specific," she says. "Thanks to having the opportunity to collaborate in several Departments, I am acquiring an even more global vision of the life cycle of drugs and the pharmaceutical industry. It is being a very interesting experience from which I am learning a lot and from which I hope to get the most out of," he concludes.
