Nursing students from the University of Navarra will be able to carry out a month of summer internships in one of the hospitals in Birmingham (United Kingdom), thanks to a partnership agreement signed with Birmingham City University. This university has one of the largest Nursing Schools in the United Kingdom (7,000 students in the Health School alone) and provides the largest issue of nurses in the country.
In fact, one of the great strengths of the center is that it has state-of-the-art facilities, such as a simulation classroom and a virtual simulator that students use for their internships. In this sense, the students of exchange of the Pamplona center will have the opportunity to take a course with the simulators to learn more about how the English healthcare system works.
In the words of the Dean of Nursing, María Isabel Saracíbar, "this agreement serves as a starting point to create new ways of partnership between our School and other Schools homonymous in the United Kingdom, and opens the doors for our students to get to know a more international approach of the profession, one of the main objectives in which the University of Navarra is immersed".
