The figure and work of Pedro Pablo Rubens comes to Pamplona through the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado and the University of Navarra.

The School of Philosophy and Letters coordinates the lecture series that will take place from January 25 to February 15, at the Museum of the University of Navarra.

The School of Philosophy and Letters of the University, in partnership with the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado, has organized the lecture series Francisco Calvo Serraller. The sessions will take place on Wednesdays, January 25, 1, 8 and 15 February, at 7:00 pm, in the theater of the Museo Universidad de Navarra

In its sixth edition, different experts will address the life and work of Pedro Pablo Rubens, one of the greatest exponents of Baroque painting. The sessions will be given by Alejandro Vergara, head of conservation of Flemish Painting and Northern Schools until 1700 at the Prado Museum; Palma Martínez-Burgos, professor of Art History at the University of Castilla-La Mancha; Ana García Sanz, curator of National Heritage; and Jaime García-Máiquez, technician of the Technical Documentation Office of the Prado Museum.

The general price of the complete cycle is 60 euros, with a special price of 48 euros for different groups. There is also the possibility of acquiring single sessions for 20 euros, prior registration and withdrawal of tickets on the web or at locker of the Museum.

The Museo del Prado conferences have been held for more than 35 years in Madrid and other major capitals. Its organization in Pamplona is part of the relationship that exists between the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra and the Fundación de Amigos del Museo del Prado, through the internships of students and the activities developed by professors of the area of Art History. The activity has the sponsorship of Viscofan and the partnership of the Fundación Diario de Navarra and the Museo Universidad de Navarra.
