Seven of the university's disciplines are ranked among the top 100 in the world according to the QS rankings

The University of Navarra ranks among the world’s top 100 in seven disciplines, according to the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject. Five of these disciplines are in the top 50: Marketing (29th), Business Management and Administration (36th), Philosophy (36th), Theology and programs of study (48th), and Nursing (48th). Additionally, Accounting and Finance ranks 58th, and Communication and programs of study ranks in the 51–100 range.
Furthermore, according to data by the consulting firm Quacquarelli Symonds, the University ranks first in Spain in Accounting and Finance, Philosophy, and Nursing; and second in Theology and Communication—in the latter case, sharing the ranking with another university. The University of Navarra ranks third in Spain in Business Administration and Marketing.
The QS subject rankings analyze more than 1,900 universities worldwide and assess reputation among employers and academics based on reputation surveys, as well as research impact, research Issue research international networks.
In total, the University of Navarra ranks in 21 of the 55 subjects evaluated. In addition to the seven that rank in the top 100, it has three among the top 200 —Medicine (143rd), Economics Econometrics (166th), and Law (ranked 151–200)—as well as four others among the top 300: Pharmacy and Pharmacology and Psychology (both ranked 251–300), and Statistics and research (251–275).
First in Spain in Social Sciences
QS ranks universities across five major subject areas (Arts and Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Medicine, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences). The university excels in Social Sciences (ranked 73rd globally and first in Spain) and in Arts and Humanities 212th globally and ninth nationally). In Life Sciences and Medicine, it ranks seventh in Spain.
According to Secundino Fernández, Vice President Office of Academic Affairs the University of Navarra, these results “confirm the University’s international standing and its ability to address a wide range of disciplines. The ranking reflects how our research and research the world across multiple fields of knowledge, and how we train professionals capable of contributing to the transformation of society and the common good.”
In total, the ranking includes universities from 100 locations around the world, based on an analysis of more than 18,300 academic programs. With approximately 2.8% of the institutions included in the ranking (54 institutions), Spain remains among the ten countries with the highest representation, demonstrating significant relative weight in a landscape dominated by the strong presence of the United States (228), China (158), and the United Kingdom (114).
