University introduces innovative tool to assess students' educational well-being
The EBE Battery, developed in partnership with the University of Almeria, allows a more accurate diagnosis of academic performance and growth.

The University of Navarra, together with the University of Almeria, has developed the educational Well-Being assessment Battery (EBE), a pioneering instrument designed to identify and improve different psychoeducational factors of students' academic well-being, applicable at the university and high school diploma levels. high school diploma. It is a transfer product that allows to identify, from an integral perspective, both risk and protective factors that influence the well-being and academic performance of the student body.
The EBE Battery is composed of three scales - one to assess internal and external regulation in learning, another one to assess the assessment perception of the teaching process, and a questionnaire focused on physical and psychological health - that provide a complete score of the 'School or Academic Well-Being Experience Index'. Accurate diagnosis, inclusive approach and professional partnership
Among its applications, the expert points out, "the possibility of effectively identifying protective and risk factors that influence the academic environment stands out, facilitating the accurate detection of both individual and group needs. It also promotes an inclusive approach , helping to foster educational equity through a comprehensive analysis of the academic environment". Finally, he adds, "it favors joint work between teachers and specialists to implement strategies that address the needs of the student body, being an indicator of the educational quality of the centers".
Xavier Tapias, manager of the Office of knowledge and Technology Transfer of the University of Navarra, points out that "this project is an example of the effective transfer of academic research to the practical field and of our commitment to innovation and the improvement of social welfare, in this case, focused on the school and university environment".
The EBE Battery is available through Giunti Psychometrics, publishing house specialized in psychoeducational tools. For its development it has been funded by the Agencia Estatal de research (AEI), through the 2022 call for "test of concept" projects (ref. PDC2022-133145I00) and co-financed by the European Regional development Fund (ERDF).
