She has written it together with Francisco José León Tello, Full Professor of History of Music and Aesthetics. "Three levels are addressed. On the one hand, Darwin's observations on the origins and function of aestheticism in animals and man are studied. On the other, the methodological question is addressed: whether it is possible to find any relationship between the causes of natural evolution and artistic evolution, that is, whether Darwinian principles can be applied - in an analogical way - to the history of music. The last part of the book opens up to an anthropological analysis that seeks to explain the uniqueness of human musical behavior", explains the author. review of the publication |
