"Art is something wonderful and inclusive, everyone can enjoy a work, it depends on the sensitivity of each person and the training received". This was emphasized by Antonio López, painter and sculptor, award Prince of Asturias and Prince of Viana of Culture, at the ceremony of presentation to the alumni of the new postgraduate program building of the University of Navarra in Madrid.

The artist participated in a colloquium with the University's Vice President , María Iraburu, moderated by director of campus in Madrid, Ángel J. Gómez Montoro, which was attended by more than 1,000 graduates from all Schools.

The dialogue between the painter and the scientist has dealt with the relationship between truth, art and science. According to Antonio López, "there can be no beauty without truth, nor truth without beauty". He added that art and science make a good combination and are "an act of service to others". In his opinion, art can encourage others, and become "a small refuge from the difficulties of life".

For Professor Iraburu, scientists and artists share many things in common: "We seek reality and are fascinated by the world around us. In our time, she said, "society, especially young people, demands that truth, beauty and science be identified.

Alumni Building: a place of meeting and training from postgraduate program

Before colloquium , Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, President of the University of Navarra, presented the history and development of the center up to this new campus. He explained that everything the University has achieved so far is due to three reasons: a project educational based on the great Christian ideals, the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of more than 5,000 employees, and, finally, the alumni. As for the latter, being an Alumni, insisted the President, is "a lifelong commitment" and many contribute in different ways: contributing money for scholarships, helping recent graduates in their search for employment or contributing to research projects.

For his part, the director of campus of Madrid, Ángel J. Gómez Montoro, pointed out that the building is called Alumni in honor of the alumni, who have in this venue a new place for meeting and training of postgraduate program, open to all professionals from different sectors. The new campus, located in Marquesado de Santa Marta street issue 3, aims to promote cross-cutting encounters between the different disciplines of knowledge and the professional world. The building will host nine master's degrees, advanced training programs and continuous training activities, in addition to being the new headquarters of the ISEM Fashion Business School.
