Experts discuss emotions in the history and internship of Medicine
The meeting, graduate "Emotions in the History of Medicine: Between Health and Pathology", has been organized by the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS).
Experts from Switzerland, Germany, Israel, Canada and Spain met quotation at the University of Navarra to analyze the topic of emotions in the history and internship of Medicine. The meeting, graduate "Emotions in the History of Medicine: Between Health and Pathology", aimed to elucidate how Medicine and emotions have been related in the past and to analyze the treatment they receive today.
In the words of Pilar León, organizer of the conference, the purpose of the event was to study how emotions have evolved from the point of view of medicine and the importance they have for health, disease and medical practices. It also served to exchange knowledge and work with other groups specializing in this same issue.
Among the speakers at seminar, organized by the project 'Emotional culture and identity' of Institute for Culture and Society (ICS), were Bernardino Fantini and Dolores Martín(University of Genoa); Claudia Wassmann and Anja Laukötter(Max Planck Institute for Human Development); Otniel E. Dror(Hebrew University of Jerusalem); and Georg Northoff(University of Ottawa). From the University of Navarra, the participants were Professors Ana Marta González and Pilar León-Sanz.
