"My international experience began last year in Gainesville, Florida (USA). The stay lasted one year and I studied the entire fourth year of Pharmacy. The truth is that going to exchange is something unique, an unrepeatable and recommendable experience for everyone: it changes the way you see things. That is why I did not hesitate to say yes when School offered me the following year a new assignment in the USA, in this case in San Antonio, Texas.
When you go to exchange, you not only meet the local people, but also many people from other countries who, like you, are just passing through. The mix of cultures is impressive and so is the level of Education, the technical means, the social support, etc. The USA is a very different world: you have to visit it to live it and understand it.
At first, when I was told that my destination was going to be a small university called "University of Incarnate World", in San Antonio, Texas, I thought it would be the complete opposite of my experience in Florida. Texas is the most traditional and deepest state in the United States, at least that is what the Americans themselves say. However, as soon as I got there, I realized that was not the case. San Antonio is one of the largest cities in Texas and is characterized by its diverse population. In addition, it has many landmarks such as the Alamo, the River Walk,
As for the university: it is very welcoming and familiar, where everything is very well organized. Through the mail they inform you of all your options, you have a tutor of exchange (someone who acts as guide and teaches you things: how everything goes, how the subjects go, friends, accommodation...).
If I have to be honest I must say that it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life: it is such an incredible learning experience, both staff and professionally, that I think every student should experience".
