Tomás Gómez-Acebo: "We are pleased that the Government of Navarre has responded to the requests of the families affected by the call for scholarship applications"
The University's Alumni Vice President thanks the work of mothers, fathers and students.

"From the data that have reached us, the Government of Navarra has heeded the requests of the affected families," explained the Vice President of Students of the University of Navarra. Tomás Gómez-Acebo has recalled how the call for scholarship applications of October 2016 penalized lower income families and endangered the continuity of the programs of study of many students. "We hope that the measures announced will materialize as soon as possible, so that students can focus on their programs of study and families get out of the status of uncertainty in which they found themselves," he added.
In addition, the Vice President wanted to thank the work made to fathers, mothers and students who have been more active in these months. "They have filed a petition to the Ombudsman, they have reported in the Commission of Education of the Parliament, they have visited the parties one by one, they have attended to the requests of journalists. Thanks to their efforts, perhaps irreparable damage has been avoided," he concluded.
