International Health Week is held for the first time outside Belgium, at the University of Navarra.
This quotation has brought together students and professors from Spain, USA, UK, Poland, Belgium and Lithuania.
Some thirty students from Degree and professors from the University of Florida (USA), University of Suffolk and St. Mary's University (UK), University of Life Sciences (Warsaw, Poland), University College Leuven-Limburg (Belgium), Lithuanian University of Health (Lithuania) and the University of Navarra participated this week in the first edition of the International Health Week held outside Belgium.
Accompanied by several teachers, during the three days of meeting - between February 19 and 21 - the students attended lectures and carried out projects.
In this edition - issue 10 since the initiative started in 2008 at the University College Leuven-Limburg - thetheme focused on nutrigenetics, nutrigenomics and personalized nutrition, for which the students had to study the nutritional pyramid in their respective countries, the recommendations for calorie consumption and dietary guidelines for the general population and for groups with specific ailments such as obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, intolerance, diabetes subject 2, etc.
At the end of meeting, each international group student presented the results of their work to the rest of the students and professors.
