The Minister of Health, Ana Mato, has visited the University's CIMA

"We must support the Spanish public and private research because it is an essential pillar for improving the lives of citizens," said Ana Mato, Minister of Health, during her visit to the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA ) of the University of Navarra.

As he explained, "it has been a great satisfaction to meet the great professionals working at CIMA. It is a young center, but with a proven track record, in which great advances are being developed. The Spanish Government will do everything possible to promote the research, especially the research applied to patients, which makes it possible to cure diseases and improve the quality of life of patients".

Minister Mato had the opportunity to see the lines of research in Hepatology and Proteomics, led by Dr. Matías Ávila and Dr. Fernando Corrales. Afterwards, Dr. Luis Montuenga and Dr. Felipe Prósper showed her the advances of CIMA in solid and hematological tumors. Finally, Dr. María José Calasanz, director of UNAV-CIMA LAB Diagnostics, presented this new genetic diagnostic unit of the University of Navarra.

During her visit, she was accompanied by Alfonso Sánchez Tabernero, President of the University of Navarra; Jesús M.
