Next Saturday, the 24th, the University of Navarra will celebrate the XXIII edition of the Sports Day, where about 6,000 people are expected to participate.

With more than 60 organized activities, those who come to the University's sports center can also enjoy exhibitions of equestrian dressage, birds of prey, mushing or drones. In addition, this year, part of the campus will become a golf course.

With the desire to "enjoy the spirit of sports", Tomás Gómez-Acebo, Vice President of Alumni of the University of Navarra, has pointed out that "the Sports Day is an open-doorworkshop for employees, their families, but above all for the citizens of Pamplona who want to participate".

For his part, Óscar Insausti, director of Institutional Banking of CaixaBank in Navarra, said that "it is an honor to be able to collaborate, once again, with the University's sports festival, because this day has special roots in Navarre's society, it is synonymous with coexistence". Likewise, Javier Fernández, director general of Fundación Caja Navarra has pointed out that in the foundation "we are committed to sport and excellence", so he has invited the Navarrese society to attend to this sports workshop .

The activities, which will take place between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., will be divided into three categories: team sports - 3x3 soccer, street basketball and family golf -, individual sports -squash, children's tennis, Gran award children Tecnun, Cross COE 'Rambo Race', Cross COE children and Zumba Masterclass-, and sports for couples -paddle tennis and 2x2 volleyball-.

In addition, throughout the day it will be possible to participate in the Digital Photography Contest and the traditional paella will be prepared for lunch.

Great Challenge of Solidarity and European Week of Solidarity mobility

During the workshop, will also take place the Great Solidarity Challenge, where teams representing a School, degree program, high school , residency program or club, will compete in different races. The award of the winning group will be donated to the charitable cause chosen at the time of registration.

On the other hand, the Sports Day will join the European Week of the mobility organized by the University this week. For those who come by bicycle, a parking lot will be set up in front of sports center, which will be open from 10 am to 8 pm. In addition, a train will run the route "sports center - Iturrama with source del Hierro - place Félix Huarte - sports center", from 11 am, with a frequency of 30 minutes.
