Gran participación en la jornada de Puertas Abiertas del Rocódromo organizada por la Universidad de Navarra
Great participation in the workshop Open Doors of the Rocódromo organized by the University of Navarra.
About 60 people were able to enjoy the thrill of climbing in a session open to students, faculty and staff of the center.
The Pamplona climbing wall hosted the second workshop Open Doors of the course with an absolute success of attendance. Three hours where those previously enrolled through the Mountaineering Club of the University of Navarra could try and learn about climbing.
More than 60 people between the ages of 3 and 40 years enjoyed the one hour experience with an instructor where they learned techniques from discipline such as making a double 8 knot to the use of the gri-gri. They were also able to try climbing in a climbing wall.
Attendees divided into pairs of two for the test. While one climbed his partner belayed, and then the other way around. The purpose of this workshop, organized by the Mountain Club of the University of Navarra together with Rocópolis is to promote climbing in climbing walls as well as to raise awareness and teach people of all ages, inside and outside the University, climbing in climbing walls and continue to grow as a club and as an activity and discipline.
Therefore, not only students or people linked to the University can be part of the Mountain Club or of the programmed activities. Any person, whether or not linked to the University of Navarra and of any age can be part of this program in which the University of Navarra, through the Mountain Club and Rocópolis, work in partnership.
