Organized by Aditech, the event will be held on March 28th and 29th in Baluarte and deadline is already open to vote for the best initiatives of research and development

Nine projects from the University of Navarra, the Clinic, and the Cima participate in the research SciencEkaitzaorganized by Aditech, coordinator of the Navarra System of research and development+i, SINAI, with the partnership of the Government of Navarra, the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the support of other public and private entities, including the University. In this edition, which will take place on March 28th and 29th in Baluarte, SciencEkaitza is structured in three axes: the Open SINAI Fair, which will bring together clusters, startups, the Digital Innovation Pole of Navarra IRIS and companies; several round tables on science and technology issues; and the submission of three awards to projects that are underway and have obtained funding from the Government of Navarra. Voting is open until March 29 at 12 noon.
In total, there are 16 projects, in which nearly 200 researchers have worked, which have submitted nominations in this edition. The awards gala submission will be held next Wednesday, March 29, at 6 pm.
The projects in which the University participates together with other entities such as UPNA, Navarrabiomed, the University Hospital of Navarra (HUN), CNTA or AIN, are: in the category Best SINAI Collaborative project : RECOOL: where researchers from School of Architecture study passive cooling with selective coatings as a resilient cooling strategy; POLIFARMA-3D: with the participation of Cima, which investigates the personalization of the treatment of polymicrobial chronic respiratory infections and the assessment of sustainable drugs using 3D lung models; and PARABIOTICS: in which researchers from the research center of Nutrition of the School of Pharmacy, analyze the intestinal microbiota and new therapeutic strategies against obesity.
In the category Best Strategic project S4 participate: REINFORCE: researchers from the Cancer Center Clínica Universidad de Navarra participate in creating an artificial intelligence platform for the prediction of toxicity and recurrence of cancer. ALISSEC: design of healthy and sustainable foods and ingredients with Economics circular, with the participation of research center in Nutrition (CIN). Also, the Cima coordinates two projects in this category. These are MICROBIOMICS: MicroBiomics or how to better understand our microbiota and its composition, which plays a fundamental role in our health, a project in partnership with researchers from the Clinic and the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition; and GENE DRONES: project where researchers from Cima and the Clinic are studying the creation of a platform for the development of gene therapy vectors with renal tropism.
And in the category Best business of the call for Projects research and development the following initiatives compete: SMARtGENES4KIDS: which aims to apply a new gene therapy for the treatment of hereditary diseases in children, with the participation of Cima; and ECOLEVAPUR: which is committed to development of a new technology for the recovery of pig farming waste by aerobic biotransformation with aptitude for organic farming, where researchers from Chair Timac Agro participate.
SciencEkaitza is the event where the Navarre System of research and development+i (SINAI) shares space with the Navarre business network to generate new business opportunities. In addition, it aims to bring science and technology closer to society.
