The challenges of self-determination skills in Roma youth.

School Araceli Arellano and Sarah Carrica, professors at Education and Psychology of the University of Navarra, participated last July 18, 19 and 20 in the VII International congress of Education and Learning, which took place at the Diderot University in Paris.

This congress brought together international professionals and researchers who shared their projects based on various themes: New technologies, Education and health, assessment learning, social aspects of Education, multiculturalism, Education for peace and non-violence; and society, family and school.

The researchers and professors, Araceli Arellano and Sarah Carrica presented their communication on the self-determination skills of young gypsies, the transition to adulthood; research in which also participates the professor of the School of Education and Psychology, María Ángeles Sotés.

The objectives of this project were to analyze some data sovereign profile of self-determination of a group of young people, as well as to present the use of two instruments of assessment: The Arc Scale and the Self-Determination Inventory.

During their presentation, the researchers emphasized a number of challenges presented by the research in this regard, especially the need to expand the sample study to better understand the real profile of young people in the Roma community.
