The Science Museum of the University of Navarra selects the 38 finalist productions for the 4th edition of the scientific film festival.

A total of 1,115 productions from 94 countries participated in this year's competition .

In February 2023 the fourth edition of the #LabmeCrazy! #LabmeCrazy! Science Film Festivalwill be held in February 2023, the fourth edition of competition , the international scientific film festival organized by the Science Museum University of Navarra. The scientific institution has already selected the finalists for this new edition. A total of 38 works have been selected from 16 countries: United States, Ireland, Australia, Netherlands, Austria, Taiwan, Germany, Canada, Chile, United Kingdom, Portugal, Mexico, Philippines, Greece, Iran and Spain. Among the Spanish works in the final phase are productions from Barcelona, Madrid, Granada and Burgos.

Some of the Science topics that the participants have addressed in their films are physics, editing Genetics, artificial intelligence, astronomy, mathematics, nuclear energy, ecology, Chemistry, climate change, nutrition, biomedicine, COVID-19, Marine Sciences, among others.

The finalists compete for the highest recognition in the following festival categories: documentary and reportage; television program; student production; work produced by a university or research center, and video for web or social media. 

The winners will be announced on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at the Festival's awards ceremony submission to be held at the University of Navarra Museum Theater.

The jury for the documentary category will be formed by Luis Enjuanes, head of the Coronavirus laboratory of the National Biotechnology Center of the CSIC; María Joao Façeira, documentary producer, founder and director of the Teleciencia festival (Portugal); Juana Fernández, professor of the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra; Larry Levene, filmmaker and producer and Lucía Gastón, student of doctorate of the University of Navarra. In addition, there will be other juries that will evaluate the other categories of the festival: students (who will evaluate the production of students and social networks), professionals of the audiovisual sector (television program category) and researchers and teachers of the university environment (category of universities and centers of research).

#LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival is an international science film festival competition , promoted by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra -with the partnership of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) / Ministry of Science and Innovation; Laboral Kutxa, Government of Navarra and Pamplona City Council-, which has as goal bring science to all audiences.
