Professor Ana María Fernández-Vallejo participated on October 13 and 14 in Vienna (Austria) in the I conference of Spanish for Specific Purposes (JEFE-VI). She presented the paper 'La negociación en la comunicación corporativa digital. A linguistic-discursive approach to Ibex 35 microblogs'. The congress was organized by the Swiss and Austrian Ministry of Education together with the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU) and the association Austrian Association of Spanish Teachers (AAPE).

Before the conclusion of conference, the Ambassador of Vienna, Juan Sunyé Mendía, held a reception at the Spanish Embassy for the participants of congress. He emphasized the cultural and financial importance of Spanish in the world.

During her stay in the Austrian capital, Professor Fernández-Vallejo also gave classes in 'Business Spanish' to business students at the University of Vienna (WU-Wien) Economics . She also gave several seminars on 'The language for specific purposes' to professors of the department Language Department of the same university.
