Joan Puig Rigall, student of the Master's Degree in research, development and Drug Innovation (MIDI) of the School of Pharmacy, has received the award extraordinary of the Degree of Chemistry 2015 awarded by the School of Sciences. When he finished the Degree, he became interested in the Master's Degree. In an interview he tells us why he chose MIDI:
Congratulations on receiving the award, what does it mean to you?
I am happy that the University has awarded me for the four years of dedication to Chemistry in its classrooms and for the related activities outside the University, which are equally important. group In addition, I am also happy to be able to represent a small group of scientists, such as chemists, and especially our graduating class.
You are studying MIDI, what motivated you to do it and what do you expect from it?
As I was getting to know things, I realized that I really liked the Chemistry but always accompanied by the world of the pharmaceutical industry and for this reason I decided to do the MIDI. I hope that this Master's Degree will give me those pharmaceutical knowledge that I have not had due to my training as a chemist, as well as to know the sectors of the pharmaceutical industry and to have a vision of the most economic and marketing part of the business.
And when you finish, where do you want to focus your professional degree program ?
My intention, once I finish the MIDI, is to make a thesis that allows me to group the knowledge of Chemistry and pharmacy, with the goal final, once finished, to start my stage in the industry.
