Students of Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Navarra will be able to access, from the next academic year, two new programs to promote their study abroad, which will include 78 European credits (ECTS credit) taught entirely in English.

The two certificates - International Nutrition Certificate and International Pharmaceutical Certificate - can be obtained while studying at Degrees in Pharmacy or Human Nutrition and Dietetics. In both cases, students must choose a foreign institution for a stay of at least one year at semester .

They will also be able to extend this experience with optional summer internships in the third and fourth years of Degree, both in universities and in research centers in other countries. In the case of Pharmacy, these internships can also be carried out in community pharmacies or hospitals.

To this end, the academic center has agreements with universities in Austria, Finland, Holland and the United Kingdom for exchange -in the case of Degree Nutrition- and Austria, Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the USA for fill in Degree Pharmacy. In addition, the School is working to incorporate new centers of international prestige to the current offer.

training international: a necessary plus
On the other hand, students will also take specific subjects in English, such as 'English for nutritionist', 'Nutrition and Health', 'Pharmaceutical English' or 'New Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences'.

For the director of development of the School, Francisco Javier Landa,"these programs will provide the student a first contact with the international professional field, in the area of Pharmacy or Nutrition. To do so in leading centers in both fields and, at the same time, to live the experience of studying in another country, with a different vision of their profession, etc.". In his opinion, "the international training of the future pharmacist or dietitian-nutritionist multiplies exponentially the value of his curriculum and the possibilities of developing a successful professional degree program ".
