Course: "Comprehensive analysis by simulation of the best technological solutions for WWTP: Challenges of the new water directive".

24 | 02 | 2025

On March 26th, the HOLIWATER network organizes in Madrid the course "Integral analysis by simulation of the best technological solutions for WWTP: Challenges of the new water directive". The goal of this meeting is to analyze the best technological solutions for Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) in the face of the challenges posed by the new European rules and regulations on water management .

During the workshop, which will be held at the Alumni Building of the University of Navarra from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, different strategies to optimize water, sludge and return lines will be discussed, as well as advanced treatments and integral PWM simulation. In addition, the event will encourage discussion and exchange of ideas among industry experts.

The course, organized by Ceit in the framework of the HOLIWATER network , has the partnership the University of Valladolid, the University of Girona, the PSA Ciemat and the University of Santiago de Compostela. The registration fee is 75 euros plus VAT. Registrations can be made through the following link:

HOLIWATER: Innovation in the recovery of water resources

The HOLIWATER network arose in response to the increasing scarcity of raw materials and the need to develop innovative technologies to recover resources from wastewater and sludge. These sources contain great potential for the extraction of energy, drinking water, nutrients and chemicals.

Funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, HOLIWATER brings together 14 research groups specialized in technology and environment. Its goal is to promote innovation in water management and to increase the visibility of the advances obtained in this field.

This course represents a unique opportunity for industry professionals interested in learning about the latest advances in WWTP technologies and their application in a context of environmental, economic and social sustainability.
