The "International Notebooks of Theology internship" - a French-language website sponsored by the Catholic University of Louvainthe Laval University (Quebec) and the Institut Catholique de Paris- have just published online in its entirety the thesis doctoral dissertation defended in the School of Theology of the University of Navarra by Dr. John Paul Zenollito Pedrera entitled: 'Theological aspects of Catechesis in the United States of America in the First Decade of the 21st Century'.  

In theological circles, "catechesis" is understood to mean not only the task of Education in the faith of children, but also and above all in the faith of adults. The latter - the catechesis of adults - is bearing promising fruit in several countries.

Professor John Paul Zenollito's thesis has the interest of presenting a very precise portrait of the works of the most relevant specialists in this field. With details and nuances, the author identifies the accents and theological interests of the theologians studied.          

The work is evaluated in these terms: "The relations of the catechesis with the teaching, with the Christian Education , with contemporary culture, with the Church and also with human experience are abundantly documented, confronted and carefully evaluated. This thesis is original in that it provides proposal an organized and clearly presented overview of recent developments in catechetical reflection in the United States. It will certainly be useful to any researcher or to any reader who wishes to reflect or research in this area."
