Next Thursday, November 7, at 19:00, at the headquarters of the Tribunal of the Rota of the Nunciature in Madrid (C/ Nuncio, 13), will be presented the General Dictionary of Canon Lawpromoted by the School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra and published by publishing house Thomson Reuters/Aranzadi. The first edition was launched in December 2012, and the second reprint has already been reached.

Renzo Fratini, Apostolic Nuncio, will preside over the ceremony.

Speakers:

Prof. Antonio Viana, Dean of the School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra.

Prof. Rafael Navarro-Valls, Full Professor of State Ecclesiastical Law at the Complutense University of Madrid.

Prof. Javier Otaduy, one of the coordinators of the Dictionary. School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra.

The Dictionary contains 2,509 entries, of which 2,181 have content and 391 are mere references, written by 583 authors. It consists of seven volumes of 1,000 pages each.

Ten years have been invested in the preparation of this General Dictionary of Canon Law, which has been coordinated and directed by professors Javier Otaduy, Antonio Viana and Joaquín Sedano.

The Dictionary covers all aspects of Canon Law: Latin and Oriental law, codicial and extra-codicial law, current law and ius vetus, legal dogmatics and History of Law, sources and institutions.

It is aimed at a wide audience, interested in religious issues and subjects that have a strong impact on cultural dialogue.
