A total of 443 students from high school diplomafrom 29 schools in Spain participated in the conference of training of the Excellence Program, held at the University of Navarra. This initiative, coordinated by the School of Philosophy and Letters, seeks to improve the cultural training of young people and their ability to contribute to society. The opening ceremony was presided over by the dean of the School, Julia Pavón.

In its 13th edition, the schoolchildren have reflected on sustainability. Accompanied by 47 teachers, they have attended various talks given by experts from different Schools and centers of the University of Navarra. The Roman Empire and the crises they went through; disinformation in the framework of media pluralism; the history of the Soviet crisis; the future of the Western university model ; or sustainability in core topic humanistic have been some of the topics that have been discussed.

In addition, they have had the opportunity to participate in university orientation activities, such as a session on how to write a dissertation, strategies for public speaking or keys to make a work of research.

Throughout the 2022-23 academic year, the students will work on the projects in their schools, and the 2nd year students of the program will defend them publicly on March 11, 2023, during the closing ceremony of the program.
