The University of Navarra and Geiser Pharma sign an agreement agreement to collaborate in research and development projects. research

Both entities seek to develop new products and drugs with benefits for society and potential interest for the market.

The University of Navarra and the Navarra pharmaceutical company Geiser Pharma, dedicated to development, licence and supply of high quality drugs added value, have signed a agreement to collaborate in scientific research projects. The goal is to develop new products and drugs with benefits for society and potential interest for the market.

The projects to be carried out by Geiser and the University of Navarra, through its Unit of development of Medicines, include programs of study necessary for the development of new drugs in their initial stages; the partnership in the definition of the strategy up to clinical stages of Geiser products; and the execution of clinical trials of the products of this business pharmaceutical in the Clínica Universidad de Navarra.

On the part of Geiser, the agreement involves the department of development of new drugs, the department of research and development and the medical department . As for the University of Navarra, the partnership involves the Formulation, Toxicology and Analytical groups of the School of Pharmacy and the Phase I Unit of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, which make up the development of Medicines Unit of the academic center.

Geiser Pharma values very positively this partnership, since it represents a clear improvement in the execution of the scientific work that it carries out. "It is very beneficial to be able to work together and to have the resources, experience and international projection of an entity such as the University of Navarra", say those responsible.
