Laboratorios Cinfa hosts the last workshop of the I Course on research Biosanitary of the University of Navarra

115 students from 12 autonomous communities have carried out internships, visits to research centers and pharmaceutical industries.

Cinfa executives, led by director Enrique Ordieres, received the 115 students from 42 schools who participated in the last of the five conference of the I Course on research Biosanitary "Medicines and Health", organized by the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra. high school diploma from 42 schools that have participated in it.

At visit, the students were divided into five groups and went on a guided tour of the various plants at visit to see the entire process of creating the drug: from mixing the formulation to putting it in the boxes with the package inserts. The Cinfa representatives insisted on the exhaustive quality controls that are carried out in the plant to ensure the absence of manufacturing errors.

Along with Enrique Ordieres, also present on behalf of Cinfa were its general director , Javier del Río, the director of Operations, Francisco Aranda; the director of Manufacturing, Iñaki framework; the manager of the Business Unit of High Generics specialization, Fernando Lasa; and the manager of the Packaging Unit, Javier Aranguren. On behalf of the School of Pharmacy, the students were accompanied by the Dean of the School, Iciar Astiasarán, the Vice-Dean of research and postgraduate program, María Jesús Moreno, and the academic administrative assistant , Reyes Sáenz.

The course
During five days conference, the students carried out internships in laboratories, visited centers at research, pharmaceutical industries, health centers and attended lectures with prestigious researchers.

On the first day of the course, the students, who came from 12 autonomous communities, had as their central topic the clinical research , including a visit to department of Biochemistry and a discussion with Dr. Joaquín Giráldez, of the Clínica's Pharmacy Service. In the second session, workshop , they had an in-depth discussion on Nanotechnology and drug development at department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the academic center, where they had a talk with Professor and researcher Juan Manuel Irache. During the third session they toured the facilities of research center Applied Medicine (CIMA ) and shared a chat with researcher Paul Nguewa, from area Oncology.

The fourth day of the course focused on Neuropharmacology and Pharmacogenomics, with visits to the Departments of Genetics and Pharmacology, where Professor Norberto Aguirre, Associate Dean of the School of Pharmacy, offered the final discussion with the students.

Finally, on Saturday, March 27, the initiative closed by addressing the world of the pharmaceutical industry, with the aforementioned visit to CINFA laboratories.
