For the love of theater... and of Nursing
Iuliana Popov, a first year student at School, combines her programs of study with her passion for the performing arts.
Iuliana Popov, of Moldavian origin but a resident of Pamplona for years, knows well how to make the most of her university experience. A first-year nursing student at the University of Navarra, she divides her time between classes, study and theater. A hobby she had always been attracted to but had never had the opportunity to pursue.
"It was always the art that I liked the most and when I saw that Cultural Activities Office offered this possibility, I didn't think twice. It is often said that the theater financial aid to disinhibit yourself, that it favors oral expression,.... But it is also an excellent opportunity to meet people from other careers, other ages and other experiences". This is how she explains it, who this Thursday will perform in "La Odisea".
In this sense, he does not hesitate to recommend it to other students. "It represents a different way of experiencing the university; in Science we are far from the heart of campus and it is a good excuse to go down to the School Communication, sports center,... Doing theater requires responsibility and engaging with other people without receiving any reward but is there anything nicer than that?", he adds.
Undoubtedly, this week those who want to will be able to experience it, at least as spectators. "It is the third time we perform the play but it is the first time we do it outdoors. It's a real challenge for the fact that we can't hide backstage, change clothes or the cold itself. But it's all for the love of the theater, isn't it?
