Pharmacy students visit the companies Josenea and Laboratorios A.C.P.G. in Navarre

58 students of Degree in Pharmacy and double Degree in Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics of the University of Navarra made a visit to the facilities of the Navarrese companies Josenea (Lumbier) and Laboratorios A.C.P.G. (Oricáin), specialized in medicinal plants.
The students were accompanied by Mª Isabel Calvo (Pharmacy) and Rita Yolanda Cavero (Science), professors of subject of Phytotherapy, and were received by Belén Gay and Txus, responsible for Josenea; and by Mª José Díaz and Mª Ángeles Mañú, commercial and technical director, respectively, of A.C.P.G. Laboratories.
During the visit they were shown the crops and the manufacturing process of a phytomedicine, from the medicinal plant, which is the first step, to the product that is dispensed in a pharmacy office.
