The 20 Paraguayan students who are doing their programs of study of postgraduate program at the University thanks to the National Program of Scholarships Abroad for the Strengthening of the research, the Innovation and the Education of Paraguay, held last November 23 a meeting with the ambassador of their country.

The twenty or so students, most of whom are studying for the two master's degrees offered by the School Education and Psychologythe MUP and the MIEPhad the opportunity to share the experiences of their stay in Pamplona with Mr. Antonio Rivas Palacios, Ambassador of Paraguay, Mrs. Maria Amarilla, Minister Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. Pablo Martin Gonzalez, Director of the Spanish Service for the internationalization of the Education (SEPIE) and Mr. Alfonso Gentil Álvarez-Ossorio, Director of the SEPIE Unit internationalization ; as well as members of the School of Education and Psychology.

In his speech, the ambassador wanted to point out the importance for the future of any country of the acquisition and transfer of knowledge and the responsibility that the students have in that sense "I hope that this time will serve you to take advantage and deepen your training and that when you return to your country, this knowledge will be useful for the citizens and the Paraguayan society", "you have a lot of responsibility in this training and in the continuity of this scholarship"- he added.

For her part, the Vice Dean of Students of the School of Education and Psychology, Professor Sonia Rivas, had words of thanks, recognition and gratitude to the attendees. "Gratitude, for having trusted in the University of Navarra as a destination and, within it, the programs of study of postgraduate program of the School of Education and Psychology", "recognition for the effort staff of these students who have moved from Paraguay to study their respective programs of study of postgraduate program, leaving their families, their work jobs and a stable training on the other side of the ocean, betting on learning and deepening their training", and finally Professor Rivas showed her gratitude to the Paraguayan Government Scholarship Program BECAL, for betting on the training of postgraduate program as a means to change the world.

The BECAL scholarships, named after Carlos Antonio López, great promoter of the Education in Paraguay, have as general goal to contribute to increase the levels of generation and application of knowledge in the areas of Science and Technology and the levels of learning in the Education through the improvement of the supply of Advanced Human Capital in these areas.
