ISSA in the committee organizer of UNMUN2016
20 students from Degree in attendance participated in the organization of the V Edition of UNMUN.
The first week of February was held at Campus of the University of Navarra UNMUN (University of Navarra Model United Nations), in which 120 university students from all over Spain participated.
Behind these three days of presentations and debates, a team of students from various Schools of the University had been working previously, for several months, to make UNMUN2016 possible. From ISSA School of Management Assistants, 20 students from Degree in attendance of Management in the logistics, protocol, events, communication and social media teams were part of the Organizing committee .
The logistics team included: Carmen Valdivia, manager of Logistics; María Ramos, manager of events; Helena Torres, manager of protocol; Laura Urbina, manager of sponsorship and Carmen Naranjo, manager of Communication and Social Networks. Other members of the protocol team were: Alba Martell, Carlota Martínez, Marta Landaluce, Ana Romero, Miren Astigarraga, María Prada, Teresa Vela, María Jesús Mula, Ana López, Laura Peña, Marta Santos, Lucía Muerza, Aaron Alceda, Julia Peña and Iana Dvornic.
Carmen Naranjo, from Malaga and a 1st year ISSA student, commented with satisfaction after the closing of the event that she felt very proud to have been part of the team, and was very grateful that she had been given the opportunity to prove her worth, even though she was a first year student, since until now this position had always been delegated to students in higher grades. For her, the most gratifying thing has been to work as a team with colleagues from other Schools, to meet weekly and see how the work was moving forward. "I was the manager to inform through social networks about the different phases of UNMUN, how to register, what it consisted of, as well as explaining the different committees. In final, I was telling the day to day of UNMUN".

María Ramos, from Santander, is in her 2nd year of Degree at attendance de Dirección. Her work consisted mainly in managing all the social events that surround congress: dinners, outings, Thursdays, accommodation, meals, etc. "I have learned to work in a team and above all to organize myself well to get to everything: meetings, classes, friends,...". For María, contacting suppliers was the biggest challenge challenge but she recognizes that"after this experience I have improved a lot in my ability to relate to people I don't know and also in knowing how to address each one in the right way".
