On April 6 and 7, Operation Kilo will take place at the Carrefour de Mendebaldea, an initiative of the Carrefour Solidarity Foundation in partnership with the Spanish Federation of Food Bank in favor of families in status of vulnerability in Spain.

For every kilo of food that you contribute, Carrefour will donate another kilo to the Food Banks. A "Food Bank Table" will be set up in our hypermarkets where volunteers from these banks will collect the donations made to the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL). Subsequently, the 55 local banks belonging to the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) will be responsible for distributing them among the organizations with which they collaborate.

Together we will donate twice as much food.

In the last Food Collection campaign, together we donated more than 2,073,384 kilos of food products to the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), an amount that helped to alleviate the basic food needs of more than 24,000 people for a whole year.

In 2016 and at the national level, Carrefour, with the support of its customers and collaborators, delivered to FESBAL more than 8.2 million kilos of food products. It is estimated that this food served the basic needs of more than 90,000 people for more than a year.
