University of Navarra students Bárbara Perera, Francisco Javier Unda, and Salvador López have result of the Finance International Case Competition, a competition organized by Simon Fraser University in Canada.
The students from the School of Science Business, the only Spanish representatives, will travel to Vancouver to compete alongside eleven other teams from universities around the world, including Université Laval, Singapore Management University, Babson College in Massachusetts, and the University of Waterloo, among others. 

The students from the University of Navarra, who are participating in exchange , took part in the first online phase of the event despite being geographically separated. All three are in their fourth year of the bilingual programs at the School of Science and Business, which include two semesters of programs of study one of the 60 foreign universities with which the university has agreements.

Barbara Perera is at the University of Southern California; Francisco Javier Unda, at Emory University in Atlanta; and Salvador López, at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. As they explain, "we worked via Skype and using Google Docs, so that the three of us could be connected at the same time and we could see the changes that each one made to the document in real time".

The 2010 Finance International Case Competition is a competition that offers students from around the world the chance to solve real-world finance problems in front of a panel of industry professionals such as CIBC, GE Capital and CFA Vancouver. The final round will take place from November 12-14.
