University of Navarra students Bárbara Perera, Francisco Javier Unda and Salvador López have reached result finalists in the Finance International Case Competition, a competition organized by the Canadian University of Simon Fraser.
The students from School of Economics and Business Administration, the only Spanish representatives, will travel to Vancouver where they will compete with eleven other teams from universities around the world such as Université Laval, Singapore Management University, Babson College in Massachusetts, or the University of Waterloo, among others. 

The University of Navarra students, who are on academic exchange , participated in the first online phase of the event despite being geographically separated. All three are in the fourth year of the bilingual programs at School in Economics and Business Administration, which include two semesters of programs of study at one of the 60 foreign universities with which the school has agreements.

Barbara Perera is at the University of Southern California; Francisco Javier Unda, at Emory University in Atlanta; and Salvador López, at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. As they explain, "we worked via Skype and using Google Docs, so that the three of us could be connected at the same time and we could see the changes that each one made to the document in real time".

The 2010 Finance International Case Competition is a competition that offers students from around the world the chance to solve real-world finance problems in front of a panel of industry professionals such as CIBC, GE Capital and CFA Vancouver. The final round will take place from November 12-14.
