Scientists from research center Applied Medicine (CIMA) of the University of Navarra and Navarrabiomed will participate this Friday 29th, at 19 h., in the Planetarium of Pamplona in the lecture "New experimental therapies against cancer". The informative talk is part of the events organized on the occasion of the International Day of Immunology.

The event will be attended by Dr. Ignacio Melero, researcher of Immunotherapy at CIMA and Dr. David Escors, of Immunomodulation at Navarrabiomed, who will present the latest experimental advances in immunotherapy for cancer treatment. Dr. Ruth Vera, head of Medical Oncology at the Navarra Hospital Complex, will moderate the meeting, which will be presented by Dr. Juan José Lasarte, director of the Immunology and Immunotherapy Program at CIMA. All the speakers are members of the high school of research Sanitaria de Navarra (IdiSNA). 

Immunology in high school diploma

The talk to be held at the Planetarium is part of the events organized to disseminate the role of immunology in scientific activity.

Throughout this week, researchers from CIMA will give informative talks to 500 students from ten schools in the Pamplona region. high school diploma ten schools in the Pamplona region. "We started this activity last year and the experience was very rewarding, both for the students and for us. Bringing immunology to schools has awakened the interest of many students in science", says Dr. Lasarte.
