Researchers from the Experimental Station of classroom Dei-CSIC visit the University of Navarra
The Section of Plant Biology of the School of Sciences is an associated unit of the CSIC since 2006 for the development of projects on the effect of climate change on plants.
The section of Plant Biology, a CSIC Associated Unit through the Experimental Station of classroom Dei (EEAD) since 2006, has received the visit of a representation of the EEAD formed by its director, Jesús Val, and six of its researchers.
They were joined by Dr. Manuel Sánchez Díaz, director of department from Plant Biology, as well as several researchers from the Section. Throughout the workshop both teams held work meetings to analyze the progress of the scientific partnership that they have carried out during the last six years of existence of the Associated Unit. Likewise, the two groups established the instructions for future collaborations on the effect of climate change on plants, as well as the use of techniques and equipment of common interest.
During the meeting they visited the scientific facilities of the Section. They were also able to visit other University facilities related to their academic and cultural activities.
"At the moment," adds Dr. Sánchez-Díaz, there are researchers from the Experimental Station of classroom Dei who are working at the University facilities. On the other hand, and in the context of the partnership, researchers from the Section of Plant Biology are staying at the EEAD".
On the other hand, since 2009 the high school de Ciencias de la Vid y del Vino (Joint Center CSIC, Government of La Rioja, University of La Rioja) joined the association between the CSIC and the section of Plant Biology to address projects in the field of vine biology.
