Professor of Contemporary Church History, Santiago Casashas launched the web page www.vaticano2.com. The portal offers resources to researchers for the study of the Second Vatican Council.

Its origin is linked to the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of this ecumenical meeting and has had the impulse and support of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra.

Although the official conference proceedings of the Council is published and the Council's collection is accessible to researchers at the Vatican Secret file , this information is difficult to access and manage. The website offers some of this information structured and adapted to the needs of researcher or professor.

Among the contributions of the page, it is worth mentioning the bibliographic database , with more than 6,000 records, which, although focused on the historical programs of study , presents a substantially exhaustive bibliography of these fifty years.

The website also contains a complete chronology of all the conciliar periods with link to the documents cited. It offers a historical synopsis of the conciliar documents. It provides access to the texts of the General Congregations and public sessions. It also has a complete list of all the members of the conciliar bodies and of the protagonists of the Council.
